About Nee’s

Like many recipes, the story of Nee’s starts with a family recipe for crispy, mouth-watering, golden butter cookies, passed down from generation to generation. Great aunties, Laura and Betty, were the keepers and bakers of the golden butter cookies they proudly shared with family members only on very special occasions. In order to keep the peace, bags of Nee’s butter cookies were divvied out so that each cousin received the same number of delicious, crispy butter cookies. That doesn’t mean that bags of cookies didn’t disappear from time to time, but at least it was a start.

The recipe came to our founder, Meredith, from her mother-in-law, Patty, known to Meredith’s kids as “Nee.” Meredith had learned the art of baking in her mother’s kitchen, creating baked goods that are legendary among family and friends. She perfected the fabled family recipe, including making the wholesome butter cookies from 100% organic ingredients.

Nee’s now has both sweet and savory-sweet flavors that can be enjoyed year-round — either by themselves (just grab a stack before someone else does!) or paired with your favorite cheeses.
